Scuba Diving on Liveaboards in Thailand of Richelieu Rock, Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Khao Lak, Phuket, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai.
We offer three different kinds of tours into the Bay:
Starting from a small pier in the Mangrove forest of Phang Nga Bay, we will take a longtail boat ride to visit the world famous “James Bond Island”, here they shot parts of the movie “The man with the golden gun” staring Roger Moore as 007. We stop on Koh Panyee – a sea gypsy village raised on stilts- for Thai lunch before we cruise back to dry land. As an extra Bonus we will visit suwanakuha temple, a cave with a huge Buddha statue reclining among long tailed Macaque monkeys.
We will basically follow the itinerary of the first program, but descend deeper into the wonders of Phang Nga Bay. After a brief visit at James Bond Island we will continue our longtail boat ride to a floating Sea Canoe station where we change into Canoes. – No worries, there will be a guide rowing you through the adventurous caves and cliffs. These unique islands are one of the reasons why the UNESCO declared Phang Nga Bay as a world heritage site (apart from being a National Park).
Enjoy the Phang Nga Bay with all the beauties and wonders on offer; getting closer to paradise is hardly possible. We will explore Koh Hong and the Bat cave among others. Koh Hong is a real holiday dream come true, a nice powdery beach and lots of wild animals, such as monkeys, birds and lizards. Coupled with the fact that there are seldom many people there, Koh Hong is among the most beautiful islands in Thailand – come and see for yourself! Its name comes from an eroded group of caves in the middle of the island which harbors a large lake with a large lake with a small passage to the sea. The only way in and out is during a time window of about 30 minutes a day; when the tide is right canoes are able to enter the Hong (Thai for ‘room’) through a cave and visitors can swim in crystal clear water with a depth of around one meter. On low tide the cave is dry, exposing razor sharp rocks or deep mud, at high tide the cave is underwater. If you are on a limited time frame, a visit to Koh Hong might not be possible, but if you have the time it’s well worth the effort. A visit to the island is really getting away from it all and something you shouldn’t miss! |
